El Patrimonio Textil Precolombino
Esta exhibición se enfoca en cinco técnicas precolombinas de varias regiones de Perú, parte de un proyecto iniciado por el CTTC en 2013 con el apoyo de Andean Textile Arts (ATA) y otros aliados internacionales. Al revitalizar estas técnicas, el CTTC busca inculcar orgullo en los tejedores por sus tradiciones mientras preserva el patrimonio para las futuras generaciones.
Estas técnicas requieren habilidades especializadas, como los métodos únicos de teñido del Tie-Dye Wari y la técnica de anillado en cruz de Paracas y Nazca, que exige un complejo trabajo con aguja. Este proyecto conecta el pasado con el presente, preservando el patrimonio cultural.

Pre-Columbian Textile Heritage
This exhibition highlights five distinct pre-Columbian techniques from various regions of Peru, part of a project initiated by CTTC in 2013 with support from Andean Textile Arts (ATA) and other international allies. By revitalizing these techniques, CTTC aims to instill pride in weavers for their traditions while preserving heritage for future generations.
These techniques require specialized skills, such as the Wari Tie-Dye’s unique dyeing methods and the Paracas and Nazca cross-stitched looping technique’s intricate needlework. This effort connects the past with the present while creating a new future for Peruvian weaving artistry.
